Formación

Nací en Terrassa (Barcelona) en el año 2000. Mi abuela Alexandra Hawrylak me enseñó mis primeros pasos con el piano en mi casa. Más tarde, entré en la Escuela de Música Andrés Isasi y recibí clases de la maestra Natalia Cordero. Ella me preparó para entrar en 2013 al Conservatorio Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, en el cual me formé bajo la dirección de los maestros Agustín Vergara y Marta Cara. Terminé el Grado Profesional en 2017 con las mejores calificaciones e ingresé al Superior con el maestro Miguel Ituarte. Tras cuatro años más de estudio, obtengo el Grado en Interpretación Musical y el Premio de Fin de Estudios en 2021.

Premios

A lo largo de mi carrera, he participado en muchos concursos y he obtenido varios premios. Los primeros que gané fueron los del Concurso de Jóvenes Músicos de Euskadi: fui galardonado en Piano (2015 y 2016), Música de Cámara (2017, junto a mi compañero Aimar Tobalina) y Composición (2017). A nivel nacional, obtuve el primer premio en el XXIX Concurso Nacional de Piano Jacinto Guerrero (2016), premio al mejor pianista en el XIV Concurso Intercentros Melómano y primeros premios en el Concurso Mozart – Talavera de la Reina en Piano (2017) y Composición (2017). También he participado en concursos a nivel internacional como el XX Concurso Internacional de Piano Ciudad de San Sebastián (2017), en el que obtuve el segundo lugar; y el I Concurso-Concierto Internacional de Piano Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid (2019), en el que obtuve el primer puesto.

Actuaciones

Desde que obtuve el Grado Profesional, he participado en numerosos eventos. En 2018 interpreté el Concierto nº 1 de Mendelssohn con la Orquesta de Alumnos de Euskadi (EIO) bajo la dirección de Jon Malaxetxebarria. A partir de entonces, he presentado mi repertorio en ciclos de conciertos importantes a nivel nacional e internacional como la Quincena Musical (2018 y 2019), Juventudes Musicales (2018, 2019 y 2021), Fundación Juan March (2018) y Donostia Musika (2020). El pasado curso colaboré con mi maestro Miguel Ituarte interpretando la Gran Fuga de Beethoven a 4 manos en los ciclos de su 250 aniversario. Mi último concierto ha sido una colaboración en el Evento Inaugural del Fair Saturday 2021 con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao (BOS) bajo la batuta de José R. Pascual-Vilaplana, en la que interpreto como solista la Variación XVIII de la Rapsodia sobre un Tema de Paganini de Rajmáninov, entre otras obras sinfónicas.

Actualidad

Este año académico he terminado el Máster de Pedagogía Musical en la Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). Además de ello, he sido becado en el Programa de Emprendimiento Juvenil de la Universidad de Deusto para llevar a cabo el proyecto Juegos Pulpi y recibir formación de empresa y asesoramiento. Mientras tanto, trabajo en La Salle y en el conservatorio Bedmar como profesor titular de Piano, y en la Sociedad Coral de Bilbao como repertorista de ensayos y conciertos. Todo ello lo compagino con mi carrera de conciertos, realizando proyectos de lo más diversos y descubriendo nuevo repertorio, tanto solista como camerístico y sinfónico.

Studies

I was born in Terrassa (Barcelona) in 2000. My grandmother Alexandra Hawrylak taught me my first steps on the piano at home. Later, I entered the Andrés Isasi Music School and received lessons from the teacher Natalia Cordero. She prepared me to enter the Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga Conservatory in 2013, where I trained under the direction of teachers Agustín Vergara and Marta Cara. I finished the Professional Grade in 2017 with the best marks and entered the Superior with maestro Miguel Ituarte. After four more years of study, I obtained the Degree in Music Performance and the End of Studies Award in 2021.

Awards

Throughout my career, I have taken part in many competitions and won several prizes. The first ones I won were those of the Concurso de Jóvenes Músicos de Euskadi: I was awarded in Piano (2015 and 2016), Chamber Music (2017, together with my partner Aimar Tobalina) and Composition (2017). At national level, I won first prize in the XXIX Jacinto Guerrero National Piano Competition (2016), prize for the best pianist in the XIV Intercentros Melómano Competition and first prizes in the Mozart Competition – Talavera de la Reina in Piano (2017) and Composition (2017). I have also participated in international competitions such as the XX Concurso Internacional de Piano Ciudad de San Sebastián (2017), in which I obtained the second place; and the I Concurso-Concierto Internacional de Piano Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid (2019), in which I obtained the first place.

Featured concerts

Since obtaining the Professional Degree, I have participated in numerous events. In 2018 I performed Mendelssohn’s Concerto No. 1 with the Euskadi Student Orchestra (EIO) conducted by Jon Malaxetxebarria. Since then, I have presented my repertoire in important national and international concert series such as the Quincena Musical (2018 and 2019), Juventudes Musicales (2018, 2019 and 2021), Fundación Juan March (2018) and Donostia Musika (2020). Last year I collaborated with my maestro Miguel Ituarte performing Beethoven’s Great Fugue for 4 hands in the cycles of his 250th anniversary. My latest concert has been a collaboration in the Inaugural Event of Fair Saturday 2021 with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS) under the baton of José R. Pascual-Vilaplana, in which I perform as soloist the Variation XVIII of the Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini by Rachmaninov, among other symphonic works.

Current activity

This academic year I have finished the Master’s Degree in Music Pedagogy at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). In addition to this, I have been awarded a scholarship in the Youth Entrepreneurship Programme of the University of Deusto to carry out the Pulpi Games project and receive business training and advice. In the meantime, I work at La Salle and at the Bedmar Conservatory as a Piano teacher, and at the Bilbao Choral Society as a repertoire teacher for rehearsals and concerts. I combine all this with my concert career, carrying out a wide range of projects and discovering new repertoire, both solo, chamber and symphonic.
